If I had a box just for wishes, and things that had never come true...
On top of Aqua's dresser, there is a robin's egg blue box made from wood. There are small yellow stars painted on the top and a crescent moon. She keeps the box unlocked because she doesn't keep anything of monetary value inside.
Inside the box there are various objects and a few letters.
There are two Wayfinders, one white and red with a silver frame, the other a deep green with a golden coloured frame. She's attached a small tag to each using string. According to these, the white and red one belongs to one "Luke fon Fabre" and the other "Takasugi Shinsuke." Both of these she keeps in their own dark blue drawstring pouch.
Carefully folded and tucked in a corner is a picture of a Wayfinder drawn in marker, crudely drawn but still unbelievably precious.
Underneath all these smaller objects was an old notebook, worn but well cared for, with a blue ribbon book mark sticking out from one end to drape over the cover. There are also two of Metokkori R's Chara Misfortune Dolls sitting on top, an Aqua keychain as well as the proof version of Takasugi that she got from Keroro. The ball and chain on one of them had been opened to link the two dolls together.
A pair of mythril earrings sit in a smaller drawstring pouch which was, unlike the other two, a pearl grey.
And the letters were tied together in stacks that would fit inside the box. All of them were sealed with only a name written on the envelopes in Aqua's neat cursive.

Takasugi Shinsuke
If you're reading this, then I guess I wasn't able to wait for you in the end. I'm sorry, I never meant to leave you like this. There were so many things left unsaid between us and I wanted to be able to tell you in person, but if that's not possible then at least I can let you know this way.
I love you, Shinsuke. I wish I'd told you sooner, but I always thought I would have time to do so, until the morning I woke up and you were gone. Then you came back, and it seemed like you didn't want anything to do with me anymore and I thought I could convince myself to let go of you. But even then, I never stopped loving you and I don't think I ever will. Every moment I had with you, from meeting you to loving you, I don't regret any of it. If I could choose all over again I wouldn't choose any differently even knowing what happens. I wouldn't trade the happiness you brought me for anything. You may not think you deserve it, but it's not just your decision. I get a say in this, don't I? And I say you're worth holding onto. What we had was worth holding onto and I refuse to give up on you.
I refuse to give up on us.
When one of my friends became lost, I vowed to protect him until he came back, but a wise man told me that he doesn't need my protection. What he needed was for me to believe in him because it will guide him back to the light. I think I understand what he meant now.
Right now I'm trapped in a dark place where the only light is the one I bring with me, and I the light I had has been made brighter from meeting you. That's all I need, Shinsuke. I can protect myself; you should know this better than anyone. I don't need you to protect me: I need you to believe in me. I need you to believe that I will do everything I can to come back to you. It might not be soon, and it might not happen in Death City, but I will find my way back to you one day no matter how long it takes.
And Shinsuke, whatever happens, even if you forget everything else, I hope that a part of you will still remember someone somewhere still believes in you. Even if you forget me, I hope you'll always know that you're never truly alone.
